Branding for The Street Food Collective
A COMMUNAL SPACE FOR STALL FOOD FROM A RANGE OF ROTATING VENDORS
With the uprising popularity of street food, our client set about creating a shared stall environment whereby every month different food vendors could come to a communal market space and sell a variety of delicious specialty foods. Thus was born,The Street Food Collective. Occupying a popular, sought-after space in central Ponsonby, Auckland, their business premises provides a permanent space for the best-quality street food.
Faber & Lo developed a logo with custom lettering that was edgy and modern but with an air of vintage nostalgia from the 50’s ‘American Diner’ scene, which also influenced the vintage hues of the colour scheme.
A supporting pattern was developed that suggests the range of different vendors and foods on offer. Also occupying the space is a caravan of their own, selling drinks and bar snacks, for which the menu also reflected fifties Americana. The resulting bold aesthetic engages with their audience and contributes to a lively brand personality that also serves as a confident platform for promoting external food vendors.
